Crownhold Patch 1.0.2 (August 2026)

Gold prestige credits correctly, monuments open early, and two late tooltips get real sentences.

Crownhold Patch 1.0.2

v1.0.2 landed on Steam news on 17 August 2026, hours after Crownhold’s release and after the 1.0.1 loading work. The post is three bullets. All three change how you should play the opening map. This page is the player translation. Prestige shopping still lives on how to prestige and the prestige planner. Late names still live on siege and warfare.

Fix missing gold prestige points

Steam’s achievement Every Jewel in the Crown asks you to reach Gold Prestige Tier 22. That is a late ceiling, not an hour-one rank. v1.0.2 says gold prestige points that should have been awarded were missing. If you prestiged on launch afternoon and the gold track did not move, update and reopen the book. Do not assume you “failed” a secret condition. Do not hex-edit a save. Troubleshooting is the short version; late-game progression is the ceiling map.

Gold prestige is not the same as ordinary prestige points you spend on Royal Servants. Ordinary points still buy the tree. Gold prestige is the named track Steam put on the achievement list. If a YouTuber’s launch VOD shows a missing gold pip, that VOD is pre-1.0.2.

Most monuments available from the start

This is the bullet that rewrites demo advice. Recorded demo runs treated a monument or statue as a mid-map surprise. v1.0.2 makes most monuments available from the start. You can open prestige UI earlier than older videos imply. That is quality of life and a footgun: the book still looks like game over. Opening it is not a reset. Confirm only when expansion progress will rewind. Controls covers Escape → Resume.

“Most” is Steam’s word. We will not invent which monument stays gated. If a statue is still fogged, keep expanding. If three monuments are clickable on a fresh keep, that is the patch working. Steam’s Legacy in Stone still wants all three completed; A Monumental Beginning still wants the first statue claimed. Early availability is not auto-complete.

This also splits monuments from decrees. A law overlay is decrees. A statue is prestige or a monument achievement. Click the one you mean.

Clearer Vassal Doctrine and Royal City tooltips

v1.0.2 adds clearer explanations to Vassal Doctrine tooltips and Royal City tooltips. Those systems existed enough to need sentences. They are late diplomatic / city-layer UI, not new store DLC. Hover them in your client. This wiki will not publish invented treaty percentages.

Vassal Doctrine sits next to Oaths of Fealty (first vassal treaty) on the achievement list. Read it when countries exist, after trade and exploration has you sailing. Royal City sits next to court, villages, and later map density — a workplace or upgrade family, not a second game. Buildings now flags both names beside arsenal and harbor.

The 18 August endgame improvements patch then added Admiralty, Dominion gain, and catapult autofire hints. Read 1.0.2 first if your problem was “my gold prestige did not credit” or “the statue was missing.” Read the 18 August note if your problem is endgame tooltips that still say nothing.

What to do in a session

Update. Open the monument without confirming a reset. Check whether gold prestige pip’d. Hover Vassal Doctrine and Royal City when they appear; believe the new sentences over a launch-day Reddit guess. Then go back to wood and ships. v1.0.2 is a fairness and readability patch. It is not permission to skip the monastery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Crownhold questions.

I prestiged and got no gold prestige points.

That miss was the v1.0.2 bug. Update, then reopen the book. Ordinary prestige spends are a different currency.

Can I open monuments in the first hour now?

v1.0.2 makes most monuments available from the start. Opening is not a reset. Confirm only when the prompt rewinds expansions.

What is Royal City?

A late UI family that needed clearer tooltips in 1.0.2. Hover it in-game. We do not invent a production table.
